As one of the oldest settlements in Perry County, Casa is proud of our longstanding community spirit. Our community comes together for everything from celebrating holidays and participating in parades to planting a public orchard and staffing our volunteer fire department.

Visit our park, borrow a book from our library, or stop by our community center for coffee and fellowship. Our doors are open to all, whether you’re a long-time resident or only visiting. Casa is a small city with a big heart, and we prioritize making everyone feel welcome.

The Arbor Day Foundation has named Casa a 2024 Tree City USA in honor of its commitment to plant, grow, and maintain trees to benefit the community. This is the fourth year Casa has received this recognition.

To earn Tree City USA recognition, a city must uphold four core standards:

  • Maintaining a tree board or department.
  • Having a community tree ordinance.
  • Spending at least $2 per capita on urban forestry.
  • Participating in an Arbor Day celebration.
